Understanding football odds types
Odds are numbers that represent the potential return on a bet and the likelihood of an outcome. Understanding odds well helps you make smarter decisions.
| Odds Type | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal Odds | European format — a number greater than 1 | If Team A is 2.50 and you bet 1,000 Ks, you get back 2,500 Ks |
| Fractional Odds | UK format — shown as 5/2 and similar | If Team B is 5/2 and you bet 2,000 Ks, the payout is 5,000 Ks |
| Asian Handicap | Levels the playing field — gives the stronger team a disadvantage | If Team A is −0.5, Team A must win by at least 1 goal |
| Over/Under | Bet on the total number of goals in a match | Over 2.5 goals — the total goals must be 3 or more |
| 1X2 (Three-Way) | Win / Draw / Lose — the most straightforward bet | 1 if Team A wins, X if it's a draw, 2 if Team B wins |
